Swimmer Alexander Gadegaard Shah (Alex) has set a national record in the swimming competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Japan. He set a national record in the 100-meter freestyle.
Alex set the national record by completing the 100 meters in 53.41 seconds. Alex set a new record, beating six other competitors.
Although Alex took first place in the competition, the best player in the other hits had a better time than him and Alex’s entry into the semifinals was blocked.
He was accompanied by players from Bhutan, Kosovo, Maldives, Solomon Islands, Guyana and Palestine. Nepali swimmer Gaurika Singh is competing in women’s swimming on Wednesday.
