The 6th edition of the Cork Trail doubled the population of Erra, in Coruche, capital of cork. The Nepalese now serving the Vitória Futebol Clube Trail Running team, Aite Tamang (1h40m45s), beat team-mate António Almeida (1h40m49s) in the 21km distance. Miguel Arsénio, of Lost Trail Events / Imporlux, closed the podium with 01h42m33s.
On the women’s side, there was also a dispute for the second place on the podium, but between the second and third classified, respectively Joana Alves (2h24m15s), Caracol Trail Team, and Sofia Areias (2h24m56s), Coimbra Trail Running. Without a possible discussion, the leader Susana Echeverria (2h03m34s), of Coimbra Trail Running, rose to the highest place of the podium.
The Cork Trail also had a short trail of 13 km, whose winners were Frederico Cerdeira (1h10m00s), of the AMCF – Arrábida Trail Team; 2. Fábio Martins (1h12m54s), of the CCD “” THE ALVITEJO “”; and João Sousa (1h13m30s), of the team of the Sporting Nucleus of Torres Novas. Among women, the fastest were: Mariana Moreira (1h26m32s), Vitória Futebol Clube Trail Running; Ana Rita (1h29m36s), of Lost Trail Events / Imporlux; and Sílvia Jorge (1h35m06s, from the Sporting Nucleus of Torres Novas.
