The Festival of Colors takes place in India every year , between February and March, and this week the smells and colors of India will be in Lisbon. It is the celebration of spring , a celebration of color, life and body. What is done in the Festival of Colors? They dance a lot and mix everything: people, music and spices. From Lisbon to New Delhi, everything is mixed.

The party will start at 4 pm on May 12, at Martim Moniz in Lisbon . And as soon as the starting signal is given, colors are thrown all over the air, to the body of the friend on the side, to the neighbor on the ill-prepared side, or to that stranger we have never seen before. Nobody gets annoyed and that’s the idea.

But what are these colors after all?

Besides the symbolic role (of being able to get dirty, to paint, to throw colors everywhere and to make a pitched battle in a moment of liberation and interaction with a new world), the feast of colors also brings the odors, stories and sounds on the other side of the sea, where everything blends: religions, cultures, ideas. All in one big party.

The music will be in the hands of Dj Yash and various dance groups, Bollywood has never been so close! And the colors that are thrown into the air and from each other? are powder colors, made from natural ingredients, without toxics and leaves everything easily with water, both of the clothing and the body.
